International legal relations

International legal relations are becoming more and more important in an increasingly global world. While cross-border business activities used to be found above all in large corporations, these days many medium-sized companies have international commercial and service relations and invest across international borders.

Since the end of the 1980s and the onset of political change in eastern Europe, we have been advising and supporting our clients in the design of their international commercial and service relations and cross-border investments Meanwhile, we have a close-knit network of law firms cooperating with us in Europe, North America and China.

Our clients in this area are generally medium-sized family-run businesses, but also large companies. We have supported over 200 (some very well-known) German companies in founding and buying companies in particular in eastern Europe (particularly Russia), in Asia (particularly China) and in North America. We organise the whole foreign investment process, develop concepts for tax optimisation of the external and internal holding structure, create together with our lawyer colleagues abroad the required founding documents and draft contracts, and in joint ventures plan the negotiations with the foreign partner.
